Our Website and Services

BennDems provides information and services relating to elections, Democratic candidates, political organizing, events, volunteering, civic participation, fundraising, voter engagement, and the activities of the Bennington County Democratic Committee.

We may modify, suspend, discontinue, or update any portion of the website or services at any time.

We do not guarantee that all content will always be available, complete, current, or error-free.

Acceptable Use

SMS Messaging Terms

By affirmatively opting in to receive text messages from the Bennington County Democratic Committee (“BennDems”), you consent to receive recurring SMS or MMS messages from BennDems at the mobile telephone number you provide.

Messages may include committee meeting reminders, volunteer activity and shift reminders, event information, scheduling changes, organizational announcements, election and candidate information, voter-engagement communications, campaign updates, fundraising communications, and other BennDems-related information.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

Consent to receive text messages is voluntary and is not a condition of making a contribution, becoming or remaining a committee member, volunteering, attending an event, purchasing anything, or otherwise participating in BennDems activities.

You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any BennDems text message. After opting out, you may receive a confirmation message. For assistance, reply HELP or contact info@benndems.org.

BennDems does not share, sell, rent, transfer, or provide your mobile telephone number, SMS opt-in information, or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.

Your mobile telephone number, opt-in information, and messaging consent data are handled in accordance with the BennDems Privacy Policy.

Wireless carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.Political Contributions

Political contributions made through links or services associated with BennDems may be subject to federal or state campaign-finance laws, contribution limits, eligibility requirements, reporting requirements, and disclosure obligations.

By making a contribution, you are responsible for providing accurate information and confirming that your contribution complies with applicable law.

Certain contributor information may be reported to government agencies and become part of the public record as required by law.

Event Registrations and Volunteer Activities

BennDems reserves the right to cancel, postpone, modify, or limit participation in events or activities when reasonably necessary.

For petitions, endorsements, public statements, or similar activities, information identified as public may be disclosed or published as described at the time of submission and in our Privacy Policy.

Submission of personal information is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
