Bennington, VT — The Bennington County Democrats are proud to announce that renowned activist, author, and movement leader Amy Siskind will deliver the keynote address at the County Committee’s Reorganization Meeting on Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

The meeting will be held in person at the Bennington Free Library, 101 Silver Street, Bennington, VT, with a virtual option available via Google Meet (link provided after registration). Full details and RSVP information are available at benndems.org/reorg.

“Amy Siskind has been one of the most powerful voices defending democracy and mobilizing grassroots action in our time,” said Jonathan West, Chair of the Bennington County Democrats. “From founding The Weekly List to launching the We The People March, Amy has shown what it means to turn outrage into organizing and ideas into impact. Her leadership is exactly the inspiration we need as we prepare for 2026 and beyond.”

A former Wall Street executive who broke barriers early in her career, Siskind co-founded The New Agenda, a national organization advancing gender equity. In 2017, she launched The Weekly List, a widely followed chronicle documenting the erosion of democratic norms. Her bestselling book, The List: A Week-by-Week Reckoning of Trump’s First Year, is considered essential reading on the preservation of democracy. In 2019, she founded the We The People March, which brought tens of thousands into the streets across the country to demand government accountability.
